Judging by his appearance, he could be around forty-five years old. The beard flowed over his chest. It had once been black, but now there were white streaks in it. His face was brown like a dried coffee bean and was partly hidden behind a red kufiyeh, as the headscarf was once called by the sons of the desert, making it only partially visible. Occasionally, he lifted his eyes, which were large and dark. He was dressed in flowing garments, but it was difficult to see what they really looked like, as he sat under a miniature tent on a large, white camel.
