Inside the Slave Auction House, the grand foyer has polished marble floors and white alabaster pillars supporting a vaulted ceiling painted with images of alluring female slaves. Beyond the foyer is the main auction chamber, a large circular room with ascending rows of plush seating made from velvet and mahogany, facing the central platform. This platform is illuminated by a chandelier that casts a golden light over the chamber. The Dais of Pairing is the focal point of the Auction House, where slaves present themselves to prospective buyers. The Dais is finely crafted with silver-gilded edges. On the back side of the auction chamber are a row of smaller platforms, where slaves are waiting their turn to be auctioned on the main platform.
